  The 2009 DeMatha Soccer Banquet was held on Nov 19th at DeMatha with over 250 people in attendance. The special guest speaker this year was Ben Olsen. Ben has represented USA at the FIFA World Cup and Olympics and has been one of DC United's most celebrated players.   Notre Dame scored a golden goal in the first overtime period to give the men's soccer team a 2-1 victory over Georgetown on Wednesday, October 21st.The Fighting Irish led 1-0 at the intermission.
